I also commented on 2 of my blogs that others commented on. I don't know if that counts as a comment, but I thought I should throw that in there. :)

continuing my blog

I think after this class is over I'm going to leave my blog open. I really love the idea of blogging. I just wish I had more time to do so. I thought of it more of an assignment rather than something to have fun with. Of course, I'm now having fun with it. I want to post more pictures too. What does everyone else think of the whole blogging thing? Are you guys going to keep going with yours? If you plan to let me know, I'll continue to follow you then. If that is what you call it. I need to play around on this site a little more to figure everything out. Ok time to do the blogging survey, eat dinner (finally) and go to bed. Xmas shopping tmrw. AHHHH. Hopefully the mall won't be too crazy. Wish me luck!

my munchkin

Since I comment on everyone's blogs about their kids, I figured I'd share a pic of my own. She insisted on helping me with my blogs. Aka... beg for me to take a picture of her and let her slam on the keys. Her name is Abbey. She turned 2 in August. And she is the reason I wake up in the morning. I can't believe the change in me since I had her. I'm only 21, so a change is inevitable, but she has made me such a better person. She might be trouble, loads and loads of trouble, but the best little thing in the world. Some people might think being a single parent is kind of sucks (her dad lives in Ireland), but I get her all to myself and that makes me awkwardly happy. :)

ridiculousness

So I'm going to use this to vent. Please bare with me. I take a bio class on campus at Triton. Because it is a night class, you would assume it would be filled with parents, adults who work during the day, etc. People with a high maturity level. I was right about the first two things... parents and people who work day. Maturity... not so much. I was friends with these two girls in class and everything seemed fine. One day they both just stop talking to me. It doesn't bother me because now I can actually hear when the teacher is speaking. One of the girls would try and "secretly" talk to me so the other didn't know. How mature right? It gets better. Tuesday I had class. The two girls leave class early.. like usual.. I'm there the full period. I get to my car and there is a note tucked underneath the wind shield wiper. Guess who its from? Haha. The note goes on to tell me how I'm fake and two-faced. That I'm immature and a "dead beat mom." Then there was a penis drawn on it. Now one of the girls who the note was from is a mother of 2 kids. The other tried to con her boyfriend into getting her pregnant. Made me giggle that THEY called me immature. So after class I blocked them both from my facebook and deleted their numbers from my phone. I don't have the time to deal with them. So I had class today again. You could tell it was eating away at them that I wouldn't even make eye contact with them. Or acknowledge their giggles. Which in turn made me giggle. Ohhh the drama that should have been left in high school.

comment on classmates blog/confusion

I am still confused by this website. It is telling me that I am following people when I click something on their page, but it says I'm following no one on my homepage. AHHH! I posted a comment on "the adventures of a breastfeeding mom." I'll be back on in a bit and try to sort this website out! Thanx!

Vma's?

So, I was too busy watching Jay Cutler play for the Packers, I mean Bears, I mean? Clearly last night he was just as confused as I was to see what team he was attempting to play for to see the joke that Kayne West made of himself last night.

Now I never liked the guy, I always thought he was cocky and quite ridiculous but last night just put my hate for him over the top. I didn't see the whole thing actually happen because I was watching the game but I did see the twitter and facebook status' change like crazy. Then today, it was all over E! and MTV.

For the people who don't know what happened, Taylor Swift won and award for I think best female video. As she is giving her "acceptance speech" Kayne West hops up on stage. At first Taylor looks excited to see him up there. He then grabs the mic out of her hand and says something like " Ill give you your chance in a minute but Beyonce had the best video in years, she deserved to win." The camera pans out to Beyonce who looks mortified and then back to Taylor who is clearly in too much shock to even cry.

I don't understand how someone could be so rude to go up there and steal this girls moment. I don't care if you thought so strongly you should of won. The video was voted on by the fans, not by a pannel of judges, clearly Beyonce shouldn't of won. Kayne West is an idiot. Any comments? Because I've seen many Team Kayne's/Team Taylor's on facebook and twitter.

drinking in the streets?

The only time drinking in the streets in legal is during festival type of thing. Over the weekend, I took advantage of that privilege and drove downtown to the Taste of Greece. I recommend this to everyone. You don't need to be Greek to join in and have a good time. Everyone is dancing, drinking, and eating, and just having a great time.

This is my second time attending the Taste of Greece. I'm not Greek so I figured that I wouldn't fit in, I'd be unable to pronounce any and all of the menu items, and just generally look awkward because everyone is so ethnic, I was totally wrong. Yes, the majority of people were Greek, but they are such a great group of people, they welcome you into their culture with open arms. And they still some Americana dishes for those who were too scared to try the octopus or quail.

The only negative thing I have to say about the fest was completely my fault. I brought my 2yr old daughter with. I forgot her stroller because my brain was in shambles as I ran out the door, 2 hours late. The festival is extremely kid friendly, during the day. But since I was late, it was the adult crowd that took over the 3 block party. So what I'm trying to say is that A) I should of brought the stroller and got there earlier, or B) got a babysitter and a safe ride home so I could of enjoyed the evening a bit more.

If anyone is curious about Greek culture or enjoys trying new/ethnic foods definitely try getting out to the Taste of Greece next year. Great people, great food, great time, and it's free, doesn't get much better than that.
